Doing Backing Vocals is more than singing ooh's and ahh's. We want the working practices in the vocal industry to be better. From providing vocals in the recording studio to doing live shows on tour, all of your creative endeavours should be protected by good business practices. We provide industry knowledge, music business mentoring and consultation for Vocalists. Our resources include a Podcast, Blog and a one stop downloadable source for contracts, recordings and rights.
We also source, develop and provide backing vocalists for various projects, Musical Directors and Productions with an incredible team made up of the best in the industry.

ADETOUN AYOOLA
Founder and Director
Adetoun is an experienced vocalist, mentor and consultant. Adetoun's vocals have featured on numerous albums, adverts and film projects with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Elton John, Robbie Williams, Kano, Ellie Goulding, Seal and Leona Lewis to name a few. Over the past decade in the business she realised there wasn't enough info on how to get into the scene, how to be business focused or how to protect her work as a successful backing vocalist. As the director of The Vocal Code Adetoun advocates for fairer remuneration and contracted sessions across the board to ensure that vocalists operate with a good level of business acumen to unlock the full working potential for session vocalists.

Katie is an accomplished vocalist and vocal coach touring and performing globally with the likes of Adele, Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue, Olly Murs and more recently Years & Years.
As the Vocal Director of the Vocal Code, Katie uses her expertise and experience to prepare future vocalists for the industry as artists and backing vocalists.
